Product · Carousels

Carousels for every account, on every account’s own brand.

Making one carousel is a morning in a design tool. Making one a week for eleven clients, each on their own colours, each signed off by the person whose name goes on it, is a different job entirely. That second job is what this is for.

If you only need one carousel, do not pay us

We publish a carousel maker that is free, needs no account and puts no watermark on the export. It is genuinely good and it is not a trial.

Use the free tool

One carousel, three themes, no signup

Write the slides, pick Paper, Ink or Brand, download a real multi-page PDF. Nothing is uploaded and nothing expires. Most people never need more than this, and we would rather say so than let you find out after a subscription.

Open the free carousel maker
You have outgrown it when

Eleven clients, eleven brands, every week

The free tool has three fixed themes and no memory. It cannot hold a client’s colours, cannot route a draft past them for sign-off, and cannot put the finished PDF into next Tuesday’s slot. At roster scale those three gaps are the entire job.

What the paid version adds

Four things a one-off maker cannot do

01

A saved brand per account

Colours, typeface and logo held against each connected account. You stop rebuilding the look every time and clients stop noticing that last week’s was slightly off.

02

Turn a post into slides

Take something already written, in that account’s voice, and break it into a slide sequence. The idea is reused rather than rewritten from a blank canvas.

03

Sign-off on the actual slides

The client sees the carousel as it will appear, not a PDF attached to an email. They approve from a link, and nothing publishes until they do.

04

Straight into the calendar

Published as a native document post at that account’s own best time, with the first comment queued alongside it. No downloading and re-uploading on the day.

Worth knowing

What a carousel is actually good for

They are not universally better than text. They are better at one specific job.

Sequences and steps

Anything with an order to it: a process, a before and after, a list where each item needs a beat of its own. The swipe does the pacing for you.

Not for a single sharp point

If the idea fits in four lines, a carousel buries it behind a cover slide. Ten slides of padding around one thought performs worse than the four lines would have.

The cover is still the post

Slide one appears in the feed and decides everything. A brilliant carousel behind a flat cover gets the same reach as a flat carousel.

One thing we will not pretend: carousels are not a reach cheat code. They had an unusual run in 2023 when the format was novel, and that has largely normalised. They earn attention when the content suits the format, and get scrolled past when it does not, like everything else.

Questions

About LinkedIn carousels

What is the difference from the free tool?+
The free maker builds one carousel from three fixed themes and forgets it. The paid version holds a brand per account, turns existing posts into slides, routes them for approval and schedules them. If you are making one, the free one is better because it is faster and costs nothing.
What format does LinkedIn want?+
A PDF, uploaded as a document post rather than an image post. Square at 1080 by 1080 is the safe default; portrait takes more feed space but occasionally crops awkwardly on mobile.
How many slides?+
Eight to twelve. Completion falls away past a dozen, and a carousel nobody finishes is worth less than a shorter one they did.
Can the client edit the slides themselves?+
They can comment and request changes on the approval link. Editing stays with whoever is writing, which is usually what agencies want: one place where the file actually lives.
Do carousels still get more reach than text posts?+
Sometimes, and less reliably than people claim. Treat the format as a fit question rather than a growth tactic; use it when the idea has steps and skip it when it does not.

Try the free one before you decide

Genuinely. Make a carousel in it, see whether the three gaps above are ones you actually have, and only then look at the trial.

From $19 a month for one account. Teammates and approvers are free.
